This week saw a landscape photo shoot for our friends at Studio Constantine. The setting was Victoria's Latrobe Valley. The mornings at this time of year can be quite fresh, and I figured there's be a little fog and ice to take advantage of. I therefore decided to show up a little early and make the most of it.
It has been a long time since I've attempted sunrises. Generally a warm bed is more inviting, but this time of year often provides some spectacular scenes. The final result makes the frozen fingers, shivers and the potential to go head first in to the lake worth it.
The sun was moving fast. As the fog was gently clearing, the sun was becoming more and more clear. Still a (near) perfect sphere, it made the scene all the more eerie.
I'm glad this is as cold as it gets here.
